The media clips and newspaper clip downloads are on a seperate server kindly hosted by Proweb of Nottingham. This means there may be times when the server cant be reached.
First click the refresh button on your browser, to make sure your not displaying a cached version of this page.
Wait a 10 seconds...
If you see
OK the server should be working fine.
If you see
?? There may be problems, in which case its most likely something that will be sorted within a few hours however if its been going on some time drop me a line and I'll will take a look.
How to get them.
The best way to use the downloads is to download them not play it in your media player directly.... This is done by right clicking the mouse and selecting "Save as" you can then save the file to your harddrive. If you just double click it it will just display it or try and play it but wont save it and it will glitch and stumble..
How to view them.
Newspaper images will be in gif or jpg format either of which can be draged into your web browser or graphics package to view.
Audio is in the MP3 format, your media player should have no problems.
Video (when there is some) is in the Divx 6 format. A player and/or driver codecs are available HERE for PC, HERE for mac, HERE for Linux if your operating system or player isnt recogniseing the .avi extention and you have installed the divx player you can replace the .avi on the end of the file name with .divx, this may help.
For example:-
blastermovie.avi   -------    becomes ------  blastermovie.divx

If your player is having problems (windows media player for example) try VLC or Winamp both are free
If you get a download error.

Can't access the site
Pages are too big, too small or scrambled
I have tried to keep it so pages load by default at a size that is easily readable. Due to the odd size of some of the pages this can mean these default sizes may not work so well with your setup. Firefox and the latest Internet explorer both have a zoom contol, hold down the "CTRL" key and press "+" or "-" to resize. For other browsers look in the menu for the zoom feature.

Some of the pages on the site are quite complex and this seems to confuse one or two browsers, but these seem to be limited to mobile, some older browsers and some zoom settings, try adjusting the zoom level beyond that the only advice I can offer is to upgrade the software and this should resolve the issue..
