BLASTER Bates, that dynamic Sandbach man with the explosive charm, is appearing at Congleton this Saturday (May 22).

  Blaster, who at one time seemed des­tined to spend his life demolishing build­ings, will be keeping his fans bang up to date with his latest explosive exploits when he appears at the Daneside Theatre
in Congleton at 8pm.
  And it’s all for charity because the money raised will go towards the Leonard Cheshire Home in Sandbach.

  Derek ‘Blaster’ Bates first exploded on to the entertainment scene in 1947 when he brought the house down at a rotary club dinner.

That appearance launched a career in
material springs from his explosive ex­ploits.
The wise cracking stories are peppered with bad language — so you’ll know what to expect on Saturday.
